Lyric at RidgeGate is a 699-acre master-planned community in Lone Tree, Colorado, about four miles north of Castle Pines on I-25. Shea Homes is the developer, and Shea, Infinity Properties, Thrive Home Builders, and Lokal Homes are building about 1,900 homes there. Starting prices run from the $399,000s for condos to $1.3 million for Infinity's Cadence Collection, with a $240 monthly HOA.
I have lived in Castle Pines since 2008, and Lyric is one of the closest new-construction options for buyers who want to stay near Castle Pines. Every figure below comes from the official Lyric site, Shea Homes' October 2026 fact sheet, or the City of Lone Tree, checked on the date above.
Four builders are selling at Lyric: Shea Homes, Infinity Properties, Thrive Home Builders, and Lokal Homes. The list below shows each collection's starting price from the official Lyric site on October 6, 2026. Prices exclude options, elevations, and lot premiums, and quick move-in homes are priced separately.
Cadence is Infinity Properties' largest collection at Lyric: one- and two-story homes of 2,700 to 5,500 square feet with three to seven bedrooms, from $1.3 million on the official Lyric site. Infinity lists Cadence as now selling. Final pricing depends on the homesite, options, and design selections, so compare the base price with the quick move-in homes Infinity has on the ground before deciding whether to build or buy one that is already underway.
Shea lists the Lyric Owners Association assessment at $240 a month per household, covering the parks, open space, trails, landscaping, and community amenities. Shea's October 2026 fact sheet estimates property tax at about 1.11 percent of the purchase price. Water and wastewater come from Parker Water and Sanitation District, gas and electric from Xcel Energy, and trash service from the City of Lone Tree. Ask for the estimated annual tax on the exact lot before you compare Lyric with a resale home, because new communities can carry different district charges.
Lyric is in Douglas County School District. Shea's fact sheet lists Eagle Ridge Elementary, Cresthill Middle School, and Highlands Ranch High School. A new elementary school, Echo Bluffs, is under construction in Lyric and is expected to open for the 2027-2028 school year, and Lyric set aside about 8 acres for a school site. School boundaries can change, so confirm the assigned schools for a specific address with the district.
The Groove is Lyric's community hub, with a cafe, a restaurant, fitness and movement studios, and a residents' pool. The cafe and restaurant are open to the public, and the pool and studios are for residents. Next to Lyric, the City of Lone Tree and South Suburban Park and Recreation broke ground on High Note Park on April 29, 2026. Phase 1 includes two lighted synthetic multipurpose fields, a playground, a dog park, the new Happy Canyon Trail, and a beer garden run by Lone Tree Brewing Company, and the city expects it to open in late summer 2027.
Lyric sits off I-25 at Exit 192, RidgeGate Parkway, about four miles north of the Castle Pines Parkway exit. That makes it one of the closest large new-construction communities to Castle Pines for buyers who want to stay near Castle Pines but prefer a newer home or a lower starting price. Shea's fact sheet also notes that the community is home to the RidgeGate Parkway light rail station, the southern end of the line, which gives Lyric a rail connection that Castle Pines does not have.
Openings can shift, so I update this page as dates are confirmed.
Lyric is in the City of Lone Tree, and builders list addresses as Lone Tree, CO 80134. ZIP 80134 also covers parts of Parker, and some map and listing sites show Lyric streets under Parker. Search by the community name, and check the city on a specific property's records before you rely on it for insurance or school research.
You can buy at Lyric without an agent, but each builder's on-site sales team works for the builder. If you want a broker working for you, Colorado now requires a signed written agreement to set up that relationship, so decide before your first model visit or online registration. Before I became a broker in 2013, I worked for a national home builder, and I still work with new home and custom builders, so I pay close attention to lot premiums, upgrade pricing, contract terms, and construction timelines.
